Overclocking
Without touching the voltage, increase the frequency of your GPU by 50Mhz . Start the test and increase again by 50Mhz if the test was successful. Don’t forget to check in GPU-Z if the frequencies are correctly applied.
Keep increasing the frequency until it crashes. Do not panic in case of crash, either you lose the driver, you just have to wait a few seconds for it to come back, or you no longer have access to windows and you will have to do a forced restart.
When you reach this limit, switch back to the last stable frequency and increase the GPU by 20Mhz . In case of crash during the test, start to increase the voltage of the GPU (Core Voltage) from 10mv to 10mv which will help to stabilize. To be closer to the maximum of the GPU you can refine the frequency to the nearest Mhz. Always testing between each frequency increase with a benchmark and keeping an eye on the temperatures.
For the RAM it is the same system. Increase by 50Mhz then in steps of 20Mhz.
The sample here of MSI GTX670 Power Edition is able to hold Kombustor configured in our way at a frequency of 1160Mhz for the GPU and 1802Mhz for the RAM. We added +12mv to Core voltage and +20mv to Memory voltage. The temperature rose to 66°C which is more than reasonable knowing that the ventilation is still automatic. Kombustor’s score goes from 3456Pts to 3820Pts. And what is your score?
