Brussels residents warned of upcoming problems with paying bills
MOSCOW, 3 Sep — PRIME. 80% of households in Brussels may have problems paying their energy bills, broadcaster RTBF reports, citing Secretary General of the Federation of Social Services Celine Nieuwenhuis.
According to RTBF, Nieuwenhuis said: “Brussels suppliers expect 80% of Brussels households to have difficulty paying their bills.”
The head of the Federation of Social Services also stated that due to the rise in the price of energy and electricity in the country, pressure on social services has increased.
The RTBF predicts that the “biggest danger” for Nieuwenhuis is that “public discontent will only intensify” as winter approaches.
