The crypto-exchange Deribit just announced the launch ofoptions tradable daily on the second cryptocurrency on the market, Ethereum.
On Twitter, Deribit said that its " Daily Options " sure Ethereum would be launched this Monday. As the name suggests, the product type derivative will be negotiable daily (within 24 hours of its expiration).
From February 19, the platform will also reduce the tick size for all ether options from 0.001 ETH to 0.0005 ETH, ”said Andras Caron, CEO of Deribit.
According to Caron, this news options are "great tools" to use for short-term strategies on Ethereum.
Founded in 2015 in the Netherlands and now based in Panama following the establishment of the European directive AMLD5, the crypto-exchange offers options on Ethereum (ETH) over longer terms since the spring of 2019 and has an average daily trading volume of $ 1.9 million, according to analyst Skew Markets.
In recent months, several major players such as Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), FTX, and Bakkt, began to offer options, especially on Bitcoin.
