MOSCOW, 31 Aug — PRIME. The EU’s environmental agenda has now been thrown into the trash, said Alexei Miller, head of Gazprom, during a meeting dedicated to the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers. He noted that the consumption of coal, fuel oil is growing sharply, and there is even a rush for firewood.
Gazprom boosts supplies to China, Miller says
“The environmental agenda of the European Union, which we have heard so much about in recent years, is actually simply sent to the basket today. We see how coal consumption and fuel oil consumption are growing sharply in Europe. What is also curious is the rush demand for firewood “Everyone decided to stock up on firewood. And no one remembers the environmental agenda anymore. Everyone is thinking how to get through the coming winter,” Miller said in the transcript of the meeting.
