MOSCOW, 10 Sep — PRIME. EU states have begun to actively take emergency measures to counter the consequences of the energy crisis, the Financial Times reported.

The European Union will stop the simplified visa regime for Russians from September 12
The publication reports that French President Emmanuel Macron, describing the current situation as extraordinary, called for “full mobilization” to combat the energy crisis.
At the same time, Sweden and Finland were forced to provide emergency economic assistance to their energy companies after they faced growing demand for collateral for their hedging operations.
According to the head of the Ministry of Economy of Finland, the consequences of the current energy crisis for his country can be compared with the consequences of the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers in 2008.
At the same time, the German authorities allocated 350 billion euros to compensate consumers and companies for the consequences of rising prices and breaking off business relations with Russia.
