HELSINKI, Sep 8 – PRIME. Two backup power plants have been launched in Finland to balance the energy system, there is no threat of electricity shortages, the price of electricity reaches about 5,000 euros / MWh, the Finnish electricity grid company Fingrid reported.
Finland will support energy companies amid the shutdown of Nord Stream
“The Fingrid Huutokoski and Forssa standby power plants were launched today, September 8 at 7:39 am, to balance the Finnish power system. Fingrid requested additional adjustment proposals from the electricity market, and the situation was brought under control,” the message says.
The price of regulated electricity is currently exceptionally high at about 5,000 euros/MWh, the report says.
