Galaxy takes over KFA2 and becomes the graphics card manufacturer Galax

Although the graphics card industry is completely dominated by AMD and Nvidia, there are a plethora of partner manufacturers, whose mission is to take the graphics chips to store shelves. In connection with the launch of the first performance-oriented models with the Maxwell architecture, there will be a minor change on the brand front.

In Europe, Galaxy’s graphics cards are sold under the name KFA2, but now both of these brands are disappearing and being replaced by the new Galaxy. It is thus about a new marketing strategy where a new brand is at the center. First out with the name Galaxy are graphics cards based on the upcoming graphics processor Nvidia GM204: Geforce GTX 970 and 980.

Galaxy Technologies is a Hong Kong-based electronics manufacturer founded in 1994 and nowadays not only sells graphics cards but also a plethora of other computer products, such as power supplies, SSDs and Android-based tablets. The main markets are Asia and North America.
