Gazprom almost completed the development of a gas pipeline through Mongolia to China

SAMARKAND, 15 Sep – PRIME. Gazprom is finalizing the details of the Soyuz Vostok gas pipeline construction project, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the RF-PRC-Mongolia summit.

Putin urged to encourage business cooperation between Russia, China and Mongolia
“Gazprom is currently finalizing the details of the project with the Chinese and Mongolian sides,” Putin said at a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
Putin noted that there are also good opportunities to increase Russian cross-border electricity supplies to China and Mongolia.
“Following the results of this year, we predict that the growth of energy transfers from Russia to your countries, dear friends, will already be about 20% – up to 5.2 billion kilowatts,” the Russian leader said.
