MOSCOW, 7 Sep — PRIME. China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), or PetroChina, on Wednesday said it had signed an agreement with Russian PJSC Gazprom regarding the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.
Gazprom supplies gas through Ukraine according to applications for September 7
The agreement was signed during a video conference between CNPC Chairman Dai Houliang and Gazprom President Alexei Miller. It is an addition to the “Sino-Russian agreement on the purchase and sale of natural gas via the eastern route.”
The eastern route is also known as the Power of Siberia pipeline, which began operating in 2019.
No other details were provided in the short statement posted on the CNPC website.
