Gazprom plans to launch the third line of the Amur GPP by the end of the year

VLADIVOSTOK, 6 Sep — PRIME. Gazprom plans to launch the third line of the Amur GPP by the end of 2022, Vitaly Markelov, deputy chairman of the Russian company, said.

The Permanent Representative to the European Union spoke about the record profits of Gazprom

“Further along the Amur GPP … this plant is currently under active construction … We will launch the third production line by the end of the year,” he said, speaking at the session “Oil and gas processing: useful hydrocarbons” at the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) .

The engineering company NIPIGAZ reported on September 2 that the Amur Gas Processing Plant was 86.5% complete.

The construction of the Amur GPP with a planned processing volume of 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year has been underway since 2015. It uses gas from the Power of Siberia pipeline as raw material. Now the first and second production lines have been launched, pre-commissioning work began on the third at the end of May. There are six lines in total.

According to the project, the plant will produce annually 38 billion cubic meters of commercial gas supplied to China, up to 60 million cubic meters of helium, 2.4 million tons of ethane, about 1 million tons of propane, about 500 thousand tons of butane, about 200 thousand tons of pentane-hexane factions. The plant is expected to reach full capacity in 2025.
