Recently, Google has changed a lot in its Photos application. There are new functionalities, such as more extensive Memories or Locked Folder. Now, however, a new context menu appears.

The context menu is displayed after a long press on a photo or video in the application. Now it will take a new form that will definitely make it easier to use, especially when we have a smartphone with a larger screen and only one hand is free. Google has changed the location of the share or delete icons, which will be under the photo instead of at the top.

Additionally, to share a given multimedia file, you just need to move the menu up. Then further options will appear. After selecting the photos to share, the selected files will appear at the top, along with an icon to complete the action. Previously, there were icons at the top.

When will the new context menu be delivered to the application? The update is server-side, so it’s hard to tell when it will be. So you have to be patient. The functionality was noticed in the Google Photos app version 5.70.0.413477203.
