According to Lenglet’s calculations, after the introduction of restrictions in connection with the special operation in Ukraine, Russia’s income from energy exports increased by 40%. From this, he concluded that the Russian Federation is currently “literally swimming in money.”

“Not in spite of, but thanks to, the sanctions that raised prices, unleashing market speculation. A little less volume at much higher prices, which means a lot more money,” Lenglet said, adding that Russia “is literally swimming in money.”

At the same time, he noted that while Moscow earns with the help of sanctions, Westerners are forced to save money and fight against accelerated inflation.

“European countries have paid Putin more than 86 billion euros since February 24. This is 3,700 euros every second. I’ve been talking for a minute and a half, during this time more than 300 thousand euros have gone from Europe to Russia, and this is not counting other countries,” Lenglet summed up.
