How to reset Apple AirPods – Easy Steps

How to reset Apple AirPods

Apple AirPods are wireless Bluetooth headphones. They are now in their second iteration, that is, the second generation version. They have been quite successful and while some users have definitely missed a pod of a pair, they are still one of the best wireless headphones on the market.

AirPods de Apple

Apple Airpods pair like any other Bluetooth device. However, unlike other Bluetooth devices, AirPods will seamlessly connect between all your Apple devices when you switch to them. You don’t have to unpair AirPods from one device and pair them with another before you can use them.

Apple AirPods can have problems when connected to a device that they have been paired with. One of the easiest ways to fix this problem is to reset the AirPods, pair them, and connect them again. To reset the AirPods, you need to have your charging case handy.

  1. Put both AirPods in their case.
  2. Close the lid and keep it closed for 30 seconds (do it for a minute if you want to be more sure).
  3. Open the lid.
  4. On your iPhone, open the Settings app and go to Bluetooth.
  5. Next to your AirPods, tap the i button.
  6. Select the Forget this device option.
  7. Confirm that you want to forget the device.
  8. On the AirPods case, press and hold the settings button until the case light flashes white (usually within 15 seconds).
  9. The AirPods will reset and you can pair them with your iPhone again.

Problems connecting AirPods

AirPods typically work well with Apple devices and connect easily with non-Apple devices. Here are some things to try if you regularly have trouble connecting the AirPods after you’ve paired them with your iPhone.

  • Restart the iPhone.
  • If there is a pending iOS update, install it.
  • Make sure the AirPods are fully charged or 100% charge
  • Try disconnecting other Bluetooth devices that are connected or paired with your iPhone.

conclusion

AirPods can work with both Apple and non-Apple devices, but you will get the most out of them when you use them within Apple’s echo device system and operating systems. Disconnection problems are often caused by too many Bluetooth devices connected to the same device or multiple Bluetooth devices working in close proximity. If you have more than one pair of Bluetooth headphones connected or paired with your system, remove the other pair and leave only the AirPods. AirPods, regardless of generation, all reset in the same way.
