In Energodar, fuel oil leaked into the water supply channel at ZNPP

MOSCOW, 6 Sep — PRIME. Fuel oil leak occurred in Energodar as a result of shelling by Ukrainian troops of a container in a canal for supplying water to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the head of the city administration Alexander Volga said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“With a blow to a thermal power plant, which is located in the city. A tank with fuel oil was broken, at the moment, fuel oil has leaked into a channel that supplies water for the operation of the nuclear power plant itself,” he said.

Volga added that experts are studying the place of emergency to eliminate the accident.

Earlier, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, reported that Ukrainian troops fired on Energodar. As a result of the attack, power lines were damaged, seven “arrivals” were recorded in the area of ​​the training building on the territory of the ZNPP.
