India woman arrested for stealing 63 bitcoins

Indian authorities have arrested a entrepreneur 26 years old for stealing 63.5 bitcoins to the crypto-startup she co-founded and left today.

This morning, the TimesofIndia reported that Ayushi Jain, originally from Bellandur, a suburb southeast of Bangalore in India, had been arrested for a theft of cryptocurrencies.

After co-founding BitCipher Labs, a cryptocurrency startup, in 2017, the young woman finally left the company last December. Then, between January and March 2020, she discreetly stole 63.5 bitcoins in the portfolio of the young shoot.

Following the complaint by BitCipher Labs, the police quickly identified the culprit because only 3 people, including them, had the keys to access the digital items.

On Wednesday, we arrested Ayushi and searched his home. We grabbed a laptop which revealed that she had stolen the funds. She confessed, "said one of the investigators.

Cyber-gendarmes also announced that they had recovered all of the stolen funds, nearly 380,000 euros at current prices.
