Intel Core i5-4570 Processor: : Best Overview| Benchmark | Overlocking (upto 3600 MHz)

Intel Core i5-4570 Processor: Overview/ Unlock Multiplier/ is it good for gaming / Benchmark/ Overclocking/ Specification (Specs) –  This summer is another milestone in the history of the development of Intel desktop processors. The tick-tock principle, announced back in 2006, works like clockwork. In 2013, the fourth generation of 22 nm Core processors appeared (note that only Intel Core i5 and Core i7 models are present on the market), as well as a new set of system logic under the eighth number. We will get acquainted with the chipset in more detail in the very near future, but for now we will study the capabilities of a blocked CPU from the Haswell line.

The Core i5-4570 couldn’t beat the A10-5800K in gaming applications.

Our choice fell on the Intel Core i5-4570, which should be called the “golden mean”. It is aimed at the mass market (i.e. home and office users).

Technical features

It’s no secret that fourth-generation processors (like previous Intel Core stones) are equipped with an integrated graphics core. This means that we can again recall the confrontation between the AMD APU and Intel Core core CPUs.

Of course, in the assortment of both manufacturers there are also processors without an integrated video cardswhich boast impressive performance, but today we will not talk about them.

Under the metal cover of the Intel Core i5-4570 are four cores (and the same number of threads, because HT technology is not used in this CPU) and Intel HD Graphics 4600 (we’ll talk about it below).

Rated clock frequency stone – 3200 MHz, in auto-acceleration mode, the indicator increases to 3600 MHz (in idle CPU slows down up to 800 MHz). The L3 cache is 6 MB. TDP – 84W. Core i5-4570 is enough coldthe boxed cooler is enough for effective cooling even at the time of stressful loads.

Oddly enough, the memory frequency officially supported by the monitored CPU remained at former steps (that is, at the level of third-generation processors) – 1600 MHz. However, this fact does not prevent you from using bars operating at a higher frequency in the profile system.

Motherboards based on the Intel Z87 chipset are great are friends with kits of the DDR3-3000 standard (these options are available, for example, in the assets of ASUS Z87-Deluxe).

The Intel Core i5-4570 is installed in the FCLGA1150 socket (or just Socket LGA1150). The maximum operating temperature of the monitored stone, declared by the developers, is 73 degrees. However, it is unlikely that you will be able to achieve such an indicator.

The integrated graphics of the new Core i5-4570 did not impress us.

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4600 boasts support for a range of technologies: DirectX 11.1, Shader 5.0, Intel Quick Sync Video, Intel InTru 3D Technology, Intel Insider, Intel Wireless Display and Intel Clear Video HD Technology.

The clock speed of the integrated core is 1150 MHz, but in idle mode it drops to 350 MHz. HD Graphics 4600 competes with NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M, there is reason to believe that the product from Intel turned out to be even more productive.

Intel Core i5-4570: Performance and test results

We will compare the Intel Core i5-4570 with very worthy devices from AMD (A6-5400K and A10-5800K). The processor from Intel demonstrates fast performance paired with high-frequency RAM, it is traditionally fast in single-threaded calculations (SuperPI 1M) and in rendering (Cinebench). However, note the result issue AMD FX-6300 and AMD A10-5800K processors.

In some applications stones from AMD turn out to be no worse than the Core i5-4570 (for example, in archivers and benchmarks from Futuremark), especially for the AMD FX-6300 device, which has two more physical cores.

Oddly enough, but the Core i5-4570 failed to overcome the AMD A10-5800K in gaming applications (we are talking about integrated graphics comparison), only in Crysis 2 the monitored CPU turned out to be faster than the competitor (but the result of 22 fps still cannot be called acceptable) .

Video in Full HD format is played by the Intel Core i5-4570 processor without problems, however, it cannot be otherwise.

Intel Core i5-4570 Processor: Overclocking

Intel allows overclock only those solutions that have the letter “K” in their names. Our test instance is similar luxury cannot boast. All we can do is manually increase the BCLK value, but everyone knows perfectly well that this tire directly tied to the graphics core.

As a result, we succeeded gain a foothold only at around 107 MHz. That is, the final value was 3852 MHz (107×36).

An integrated graphics chip in this format worked at a frequency slightly above 1200 MHz. Increasing the voltage on the CPU and chipset (just like other manipulations with BIOS options) did not help. At 108.5 MHz (BCLK), the system did not start.

Conclusion

The boxed version of the Intel Core i5-4570 costs about $200.00 (Amazon). Is it a lot or a little? The decision, as always, is yours. We just remind you that owners of Ivy Bridge family CPUs should not switch to Haswell (the performance difference between them is too tiny).

The integrated graphics of the new Intel Core i5-4570 did not impress us. A10-5800K demonstrates higher performance, which costs almost half as much. This means that for office tasks and the budget segment, it is better to choose the option from AMD.

Nevertheless, the relevance of the Core i5-4570 will not lose for a very long time. Four productive cores from Intel is a sufficient level for a gaming system with backlog for the future.
