We tested a Core i7-2600K CPU paired with an ECS Z77H2-A2X (V1.0) motherboard. With the help of the automatic overclocking function, which is present in the BIOS, we managed to conquer the mark of 4500 MHz. System by yourself threw 0.2V to nominal processor voltage.
There was no mention of overheating. We used a DeepCool Lucifer cooler to tap 95W TDP. Its capabilities for these purposes were more than enough (even for overclocking).
Manual Core i7-2600K fired up up to 4800 MHz (by increasing the multiplier), the voltage had to be raised to 1.440 V. At a higher frequency, the processor behaved unstably. In the S&M 1.9.1 test, the temperature did not rise above 67 degrees.
Conclusion
Production stones The Core i7-2600K will be discontinued in the near future, however, the retail price of this modification is in no hurry to drop to acceptable values.
