Intel Leaks Driver for its DG2 and DG3 GPUs, Confirms Arc A380 and A350 Desktop GPUs

In case there were not enough leaks on Intel’s Arc GPUs, the blue company itself has just made the largest leak on the line so far, confirming names of future architectures, and even the first models that we will see both on desktop and in laptops after accidentally posting an internal test driver on their website.

This driver with version 30.0.101.9999 is aimed at internal testing of future Intel Arc dedicated graphics, and also of the integrated GPUs of Raptor Lake, Meteor Lake, Arrow Lake, and even Lunar Lake. Among the highlights is the confirmation that DG3 will carry the code name “Elasti”, and that the first Arc Alchemist GPUs will carry the following names:

  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A380 Graphics Family.
  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350 Graphics Family.
  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A370M Graphics Family.
  • Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350M Graphics Family.
  • Intel (R) Iris (R) Xe A200M Graphics Family.

Considering that the A380 had already been sighted competing against the GTX 1650 Super, apparently Intel will use a similar naming to its Core i3, i5, i7 and i9 CPUs, naming its GPUs A3XX, A5XX, A7XX and A9XX in the In the case of Alchemist, then B3XX, B5XX, B7XX, and B9XX in the case of Battlemage, and so on. The fact that only the low-end is being tested in these drivers reinforces the rumors that it is still necessary to see the mid-high-end models, and for this reason they are still handled with code names and not with model names as in this case. .

Intel is expected to announce its first Arc Alchemist GPUs during CES 2022, although the highest-performing models won’t arrive until May or June, so they are yet to be seen. We will keep you posted on all the news, so stay tuned to HD Tecnología.

What do you think about this nomenclature chosen by Intel for its GPUs? Is it appropriate or confusing?
