Intel recommends game settings for integrated graphics components

While dedicated graphics cards deliver the best gaming experience, it is not always an option, where things like a limited budget or shrunken form factors do not allow these. It is therefore fortunate that both AMD and Intel are pushing increasingly potent integrated solutions into their processors, which for each new generation will be better suited for gaming.

Now Intel is looking to make it easier for those who want to play with the integrated graphics parts found in the company’s processors. In a newly launched gaming portal on the web, it is possible to search for a specific processor, such as Intel Core i5-5200U with HD Graphics 5500, and get a list of games with associated settings, which should offer an optimal balance between frame rate and eye candy.

Unlike Nvidia’s Geforce Experience and Raptr, the settings are not fed into the games automatically. Instead, it is about standard screenshots for each game title, which users can read online or download, and then configure the settings in the game on their own.
