The tradition of demonstrating new visual effects in defined 3D environments lives on and thrives at Nvidia, which over the years has produced a wealth of memorable creations, including Apollo 11, Human Face and Supersonic Sled. Ahead of the launch of Windows 10 and DirectX 12, the green team is working on a new graphics demo.
Japanese 4Gamers captures a video clip from Nvidia Mech Ti, an upcoming graphics demo used to exemplify the possibilities of Microsoft’s new graphics interface DirectX 12. The program uses a powder-scented combat robot to demonstrate various techniques for smoke, shadows and reflections.
If Nvidia is faithful to the habit, the new graphics demo will be released as a free download for anyone using a Geforce series graphics card, perhaps already in connection with the launch of Windows 10 on July 29.
