Radeon Fury X only with water cooling – scaled-down Fury reported missing

It’s not long before AMD’s unveils the next Radeon generation graphics card and most notable is without a doubt the graphics processor Fiji, which will be used under the official marketing name Fury and take on Nvidia’s powerful monster circuit GM200 in the top tier.

Yesterday, what are said to be the complete specifications were leaked online, where Radeon Fury X at the top is joined by stripped-down Radeon Fury. The same report also suggested that the Fury X will be sold with and without water cooling, something that is apparently not true.

According to sources at SweClockers, the Radeon Fury X is only intended to be released with closed water cooling and no air-cooled reference design is in the plans. At the same time, it is emphasized that partner manufacturers must not make any interventions on the card, but that it must follow AMD’s specifications to the letter.

Another point that is confirmed is that Radeon Fury, ie stripped Fiji Pro, will be without reference design and that partner manufacturers will thus have free hands to develop their own circuit boards and cooling solutions. Anyone looking forward to Fiji at a lower price point can, however, expect to have to wait a long time, as AMD has not yet communicated when the launch of that graphics card will take place.

More information about the next generation Radeon graphics card is expected on June 16 during the PC Gaming Show, in conjunction with the E3 gaming fair.
