Japan and Saudi Arabia discussed the stabilization of the oil market
TOKYO, Sep 12 – PRIME. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida held telephone conversations with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, during which the Japanese leader expressed hope for the leading role of Saudi Arabia to stabilize the oil market, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said.
The United States saw the risks of a winter surge in oil prices due to sanctions against Russia
“The parties had a rich discussion on the lack of transparency of supply and demand in the oil market in connection with the events in Ukraine. Prime Minister Kishida expressed great hopes for the leadership of Saudi Arabia to stabilize the oil market. The parties also agreed to advance efforts to stabilize the oil market and to implement decarbonization for through the promotion and use of clean energy,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It is specified that the conversation lasted 20 minutes.
