Leak with new Nvidia graphics cards, RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3050

Potential laptop GPUs are just around the corner.

New evidence has surfaced on the web for Nvidia’s alleged RTX 3080 Ti, which has been heavily discussed recently, as well as the RTX 3050 – along with other alleged graphics cards that should be close to release.

The information comes thanks to the testing tool AIDA64, which in the past has repeatedly become a source of leaks on video cards, the latter – and this is very important – published by Komachi Ensaka on Twitter.

As noted above, the latest beta of AIDA64 contains new information on the RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards, the vanilla version of the RTX 3060 that will certainly follow the recently released RTX 3060 Ti, and there is also the RTX 3050 (a junior graphics card in the Ampere series that has already become the subject of leaks).

The new 3080 Ti will be based on the Nvidia GA102 chip, as previously suggested, the RTX 3060 is built around the Ga106 and the RTX 3050 is powered by the GA107.

This isn’t the first time Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti has been reviewed, the card has recently appeared in HP drivers, indicating a relatively early release, and previous rumors for the card have pointed to a January 2021 release – along with a mind-boggling 20GB of video memory. The mark of the video card for AIDA64 is another serious hint about the imminent release of the video card.

The budget RTX 3050 is another big topic of discussion when we talk about desktop components and, as previously suggested, it will be built around the GA107, a step down from the GA106 that will run inside the RTX 3060 according to the same leak. although the RTX 3050 Ti can use the GA106 according to previous information (but this video card was not featured in this leak).

In theory, Nvidia is completely switching to RTX with the Ampere generation, that is, in other words, there will be no GTX models, because the manufacturer is not interested in video cards without hardware ray tracing support.

The RTX 3050 is expected to be powered by 2,304 CUDA cores versus 3,840 CUDA cores on the RTX 3060, according to early rumors.

This big leak also gave details of what Nvidia graphics cards might look like in laptops with the RTX 3000 generation. Apparently, we are waiting for the RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Mobile, built on GPUs GA104M and GA106M respectively, where the letter “M” theoretically means “Mobile” and possibly indicates that they will be different from desktop graphics cards (with lower baseline specifications). This is just an assumption, we recommend that you be skeptical about the first information on this matter – it’s just a leak.

Nvidia is believed to launch mobile graphics in January, so next month promises to be a very busy month for the company in terms of new releases, although serious inventory issues continue (although that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing the RTX 3060 Ti, a graphics card that also ran into acute shortage after release).
