Bulgarian authorities acknowledged the inevitability of negotiations with Gazprom

“We are creating a joint working group with both companies to find a solution to optimize prices,” the BTA agency quoted Christov as saying.

The working group will begin work next week, Stoyanov said.

Earlier, Hristov said that Bulgaria was ready to resume negotiations with Gazprom on gas supplies and expected a response from the Russian company in the near future.

Lukoil has been operating in Bulgaria since 1999. Among the company’s subsidiaries are Lukoil Neftochim Burgas (engaged in oil refining and petrochemistry), Lukoil Bulgaria (engaged in the sale of products from an oil refinery in Burgas) and others.
