Media: Cyprus and Hungary opposed the price ceiling for Russian oil
MOSCOW, 26 Sep — PRIME. Cyprus and Hungary, like some other EU countries, opposed the introduction of a cap on the cost of Russian oil, Bloomberg reports.
Earlier it was reported that the EU countries expect to conclude an agreement on setting a price limit for energy resources from Russia in a few weeks.
According to agency sources, several countries opposed the proposal to introduce a ceiling on prices for Russian “black gold”. Among them are Cyprus and Hungary, emphasizes Bloomberg.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if the cost of its oil is limited, Russia will not supply energy resources abroad and will act in accordance with its own interests.
