Mikron and NM-Tech will combine resources for the production of semiconductors

MOSCOW, 3 Oct — PRIME. The Mikron and NM-Tech companies have signed a cooperation agreement for setting up technologies and launching production at the facilities of NM-Tech, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade reports.

“At the Microelectronics-2022 forum, residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, Mikron JSC and NM-Tech LLC, signed a cooperation agreement to set up technologies and launch production at NM-Tech facilities,” the report says.

It is noted that Mikron will assist NM-Tech in the development of such products as a two-interface VLSI for use in Mir payment cards and integrated circuits for passport and visa documents with biometrics and for compulsory medical insurance policies.

“The goal and absolute priority is to increase the overall production capacity in Russia. Now the increased demand exceeds the capabilities of our factory, it is necessary to increase production volumes,” said Gulnara Khasyanova, CEO of Mikron, whose words are quoted in the message.

“It is important to deliver the technology as quickly as possible and launch the production of products – for this we have modern equipment, highly qualified personnel and technological potential. The expertise of Mikron will significantly speed up the process,” said Denis Frolov, CEO of NM-Tech.
