MOSCOW, 11 Oct — PRIME. The Moldovan government urged residents of the republic to save electricity in the morning and evening hours, government agencies received instructions to reduce energy consumption. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure Andrei Spinu.
“Citizens, today I am turning to you with a very big request – let’s try to save electricity in the next period, especially from 07:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 23:00 (coincides with Moscow time). All government agencies have received instructions to reduce energy consumption. At the same time, from today, the government, parliament and the presidential administration will turn off the lights between the specified hours,” he wrote in the Telegram messenger.
According to Spinu, savings should be made until the Moldovan authorities find an alternative to the interrupted Ukrainian energy supplies.
