MSI celebrates 30 years with water-cooled special edition Geforce GTX 1080

In 2016, MSI celebrates its 30th anniversary, something the company has gradually celebrated with a range of products. The latest anniversary product is developed in collaboration with EK Water Blocks, which stands for water block, pump and radiator for MSI’s latest Geforce GTX 1080 with water cooling.

The newcomer is called Geforce GTX 1080 30th Anniversary Edition and comes with a closed water cooler. The radiator that is connected to the water block measures 120 millimeters and the cooling device is specially adapted for this particular model. Something that sets it apart from many other water coolers is the block is equipped with RGB lamps that can display 16.8 million colors.

In terms of specifications, just like other Geforce GTX 1080 models, it has 8 GB of GDD5X memory with a memory frequency of 10,000 MHz and a 256-bit memory bus. The clock frequency of the graphics circuit is 1,721 MHz at base and 1,860 MHz at boost. To power the model, it comes equipped with an 8-pin and a 6-pin PCI Express connector.

When the MSI Geforce GTX 1080 30th Anniversary Edition will be launched is not yet known, nor what price the graphics card will land on.
