Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti

Nvidia’s rollout of its latest graphics architecture, Pascal, began early this summer in the form of the flagship Geforce GTX 1080. The worst was then followed by the Geforce GTX 1070, Geforce GTX 1060 (in both 6 and 3 GB versions) and the almost outrageously expensive halo product Titan X.

Where Nvidia has worked its way up and down in the segments, the competitor AMD instead adopted a completely different strategy, where they put all the gunpowder on the middle segment and the entry-level segment – two areas where the really large volumes are located. Not entirely unexpectedly, however, Nvidia does not intend to sit on the sidelines and watch while the red team is housed undisturbed in the lower segments.

Today, the next chapter in the Pascal saga is launched, where the models Geforce GTX 1050 and Geforce GTX 1050 Ti will take on AMD’s Polaris-based model Radeon RX 460. The company promises the best performance in the class, along with high energy efficiency and compact card solutions. The question is, however, whether Nvidia has what it takes to defeat AMD in this hard-pressed segment?
