MSI registers eight Geforce RTX 3060 Ti

Nvidia has rolled out the top three models in the recent graphics card series Geforce RTX 3000 with the architecture Ampere under the hood, while AMD’s counterpart Radeon RX 6000 is on the doorstep. In the lower price and performance segments, however, older products still apply, but in recent weeks, information about the next move from Nvidia has been pouring in.

Geforce RTX 3060 Ti is a hot candidate to become the fourth Ampere card, but reports suggest that RTX 3060, RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3050 are also close in time. The RTX 3060 Ti can reportedly make its debut as early as December 2 this year, and by registering eight graphics cards with the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), MSI now proves that the launch is close in time.

Earlier in November, Asus also registered the Geforce RTX 3060 Ti models in the same database, where the model names were accompanied by data on the amount of graphics memory. This is missing from the MSI variants, but Asus, an avid retailer and several rumors agree that the level lands on 8 GB GDDR6. In terms of the graphics circuit, the data indicate that Geforce RTX 3070 cards GA104 in cut format will be relevant, with active 4,864 CUDA cores.

The eight registered MSI cards mostly belong to existing series such as the Gaming X Trio and Ventus with both “2X” and “3X” suffixes, where the latter and “Trio” describe the number of fans. Common to both series are relatively lavish cooling solutions, but the name “Twin Fan” is more unclear. This is not used for any existing MSI cards, but can be found in the competitor Zotac’s range.

The name nails the use of two fans and can thus be assumed to be the simplest Geforce RTX 3060 Ti card in MSI’s product portfolio, but worth keeping in mind is that not all registered models are necessarily launched. Whether the launch will actually take place on December 2 remains to be seen and the future may also show exact price levels, which at the moment are said to end up at 450 USD – only 50 USD below the target price for RTX 3070.
