So it all started, like any avid lover of PC games, with the desire to build a powerful gaming computer, top-end hardware was selected and … here the fun begins …

I opted for the MSI RTX 3080ti Gaming X Trio. Yes, yes, it was on her, and not on the main participant of the review, as it seemed to me this video card could not simply be inferior to the MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X, the same processor, the same characteristics, manual overclocking + bios firmware from MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X (both video cards are easily sewn into any of the versions), but … I was wrong, everything is not so simple.

In my native bagels from msi Afterburner (Kobuster) MSI RTX 3080ti Gaming X Trio, I managed to achieve stable 620 fps on the new bios firmware with acceptable temperatures (on the native firmware 550 fps), but I ran into a problem, crashes from cyberpunk 2077 began, I had to reset the settings to default, with the same BIOS from MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X (in default the bagel produced 590 fps), the noise level increased slightly, but this is not critical, so everything seemed to work at 5+. But then they called me and offered an interesting amount for my video card and I agreed, selling it without regret and was right.

To replace the MSI RTX 3080ti Gaming X Trio, of course I took the MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X, namely SUPRIM X, and not just SUPRIM. First of all, the consumption of MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM and MSI RTX 3080ti Gaming X Trio is 350W, while MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X has 400W, in practice this is a significant difference. And the frequencies of the SUPRIM X version are slightly higher than those of the younger brothers.

I’ll start with the dimensions of the video card, dry numbers tell us not much 324x140x56 in the X Trio versus 336x140x61, a deceptive impression is created that they are almost identical, but in practice the video card is much heavier and larger than its younger brother, which I really liked.

Both video cards have three connectors for additional power supply, 8pin each. (8pin x 8pin x 8pin)

The package bundle, as always, is practically the same on both video cards. A pile of waste paper, a stand for the card (by the way, I liked the complete stand for the MSI RTX 3080ti Gaming X Trio more, it attaches to the case and supports the video card along its entire length, the older brother has a stand with a screw, there is no doubt about the reliability of the design, but the younger one has all the same it is more convenient, this is just my opinion and someone may think the opposite). The MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X has a small mouse pad, but I think it is completely useless due to its small size, but I personally miss the complete MSI dragon in the MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X package.

After inserting the video card into the motherboard, there is practically no space left between the CPU cooling coolers (I have a be quiet silent loop 2 360mm dropsy in the front of the case), despite the fact that the large Cougar Gemini S case is used.

In a standard bagel MSI Afterburner, I got 650 fps, as for me this is a significant increase in performance, with auto-overclocking from aftoberner this value rises to 690 (after all, a 50W difference in a positive way affects the work of the video card), as for me it’s very cool.

At the same time, the noise level is at a minimum, the turntables practically do not spin, and the memory temperature in games does not exceed 82 degrees.

The backlighting of the video card is implemented a little differently, but as for me, although it is made much more interesting than that of the MSI RTX 3080ti Gaming X Trio, for me this is an extra element, it is still disabled for me, as I wrote above, only hard-core, only oldSkull …

Now let’s move on to the main question, how the video card behaves in games.

Here you can describe and talk a lot, but in fact, the difference between the MSI RTX 3080ti SUPRIM X and the MSI RTX 3080ti Gaming X Trio averages 5 FPS, besides, in the older version the minimum fps threshold is slightly higher, but higher in comparison with the younger brother, is it a lot or not for everyone to decide for themselves.

Well, I will enjoy the top solution from MSI and most likely in my next updates I will not agree to lower than SUPRIM X!)))
