Novak spoke about the possibilities of Russia to supply gas through Turkey

CAIRO, Oct 14 – PRIME. The volume of Russian gas, which will be supplied to Europe through Turkey in case of demand, can reach 63 billion cubic meters per year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with Anadolu agency.

Novak warns of reverse effect of gas price ceiling
According to him, the unrealized South Stream, which was curtailed and later turned into the Turkish Stream, was planned as a four-string gas pipeline with a total capacity of 63 billion cubic meters of gas.
“If there is demand, then this potential additional capacity can be used to supply gas to European customers through the Black Sea and Turkey,” Novak said.
He stressed that Russia and Turkey have “extremely good” relations in the energy sector.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia could move gas transit from Nord Stream to the Black Sea region and Turkey. The Russian leader discussed the idea with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. They instructed to work out the issue in detail and quickly.
