Nvidia answers Radeon HD 7770 with Geforce GTX 560 SE

This week, AMD released two new 28-nanometer mid-range models: the Radeon HD 7770 and the HD 7750. Information is now circulating that Nvidia is planning a countermeasure by introducing a sixth variant of the 560 after the Geforce GTX 560 Ti, GTX 560, GTX 560 Ti (OEM), GTX 560 (OEM) and GTX 560 Ti 448 Core.

The new graphics card is called the Geforce GTX 560 I KNOW and is based on the GF114 graphics processor with 288 CUDA cores and 48 texture units. There is 1 GB of GDDR5 memory on the 192-bit memory bus and the clock frequencies amount to 776 MHz GPU, 1,552 MHz shader and 3828 MHz memory. The newcomer is thus very similar to the Geforce GTX 555.

According to SweClocker’s sources, however, the Geforce GTX 560 SE is not intended for the European market but will mainly be sold in Asian emerging countries. The question is whether the new graphics card can still appear at Swedish retailers.
