Nvidia launches Geforce GTX 670 Ti in March

AMD barely managed to get the first graphics card in generation 28 nanometers before the turn of the year and has also had time to follow up with more models in lower price ranges. Despite this, it is quiet from competitor Nvidia.

In March, however, things may start to happen. Sources at Taiwanese manufacturers tell SweClockers that Nvidia will launch the new GK104 graphics processor sometime “after Cebit, but before April” – that is, in the period March 11-31. This circuit will be used for the Geforce GTX 670 Ti graphics card, which is the spiritual successor to the Geforce GTX 560 Ti.

The same sources state that the Geforce GTX 670 Ti will perform “better than the Geforce GTX 580 and Radeon HD 7950”. However, the upcoming GK100 is the right performance circuit and also the model that will take the fight to the top of the performance.

At the same time, rumors are circulating on the Internet that GK104 contains as many as 1,536 CUDA cores, 128 texture units and 32 ROPs. There should be 2 GB of GDDR5 memory on the 256-bit memory bus and the clock frequencies are said to amount to 950 MHz GPU and 5.0 GHz memory.
