Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti in Max-Q Design can be found on the web

At Computex 2017, Nvidia introduced the Max-Q Design concept. These are laptops tailored by Nvidia and the manufacturer to offer a thin design with high performance, where the selection of graphics processors has so far been limited to Geforce GTX 1060, GTX 1070 and GTX 1080.

Now Nvidia’s latest driver 384,111 for Linux claims that the crowd is expanded, as support for the Geforce GTX 1050 Ti in Max-Q Design is mentioned in the change log. Nvidia itself has not talked about the model before and this is the first time it is mentioned.

No exact specifications are available, but in accordance with previous models in Max-Q Design, these should be lower clock frequencies for a lower heat generation. In terms of performance, this has previously been a loss of about 10 to 15 percent compared with the standard variants.

First out with the new graphics processor is expected to be Lenovo’s Yoga 720S, whose price and launch date are still shrouded in obscurity.
