Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti from Gigabyte can be found in the picture

Recently, the revelations about Nvidia’s upcoming consumer graphics card in the Geforce RTX series have been dripping. Nvidia largely managed to keep the lid on until the announcement of Turing for the charge cards Quadro on August 13, but since then a small avalanche of images and specifications has found its way onto the web.

Now the partner manufacturer Gigabyte can be added to the list of manufacturers whose models ended up online prematurely. In the past, leaks have affected Asus, PNY, EVGA and MSI, among others, but now it’s time for the Geforce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti from Gigabyte in the Gaming and Windforce series to pose in front of the camera.

First out is the Geforce RTX 2080 Ti, where the coolers have clear traces of previous incarnations from Gigabyte in the Gaming and Windforce series. This is a black color with details in gray and elements of carbon fiber for the Gaming model. In terms of cooling fins, Windforce looks to stick strictly to two expansion slots, while Gaming will be slightly more robust with greater thickness.

For Geforce RTX 2080, the same cooling solutions apply as big brother, whereupon the differences instead end up under the hood of the graphics cards. No details about clock frequencies or power supply are noticed, but the partner manufacturer PNY has previously revealed a number of specifications for the graphics circuits.

The number of CUDA cores is said to end up at 4,352 for RTX 2080 Ti and 2,944 for little brother RTX 2080. In addition, the cards are expected to be equipped with 11 and 8 GB GDDR6 memory and a bus width of 352 and 256 bits, respectively. Thanks to GDDR6 at 14 GHz, this should provide a memory bandwidth of 616 and 448 GB / s.

Turing also comes with greatly improved hardware for real-time ray tracing. In terms of connection, HDMI, Displayport and a USB Type-C apply, where the latter is probably according to the cable standard Virtuallink, intended to reduce the number of cables required to power VR headsets.

The consumer cards in the Geforce RTX 2000 series are expected to be shown on August 20, where RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti are said to be first out. In terms of price, PNY has announced that they can end up at SEK 9,250 and SEK 11,500, respectively.
