Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition sticks in the picture

Since Nvidia lifted the veil of the first three graphics cards in the Geforce RTX 3000 series in September 2020, the rumor mill has talked about the RTX 3080 Ti, as a variant with extra memory and cores. In recent months, the data has become more concrete and it is a poorly kept secret that the Ti version is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory and 10,240 CUDA cores. The launch date has been postponed on several occasions, but the latest offer is June 3 – in the middle of the digital Computex trade fair.

Now the unofficial channels Nvidia’s official diton appear, when Geforce RTX 3080 Ti in Founders Edition version finds out on the web. It is Videocardz who put their hands on the image material and isolated the graphics card from the background. The pictures show the card from three angles and just like with the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, this is the cooling solution that uses a V-shaped circuit board, with fans located on both the top and bottom. This also includes the proprietary 12-pin connector.

For Geforce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, however, there is a marked difference in size of the similarly designed coolers and the Ti model is equipped with the smaller model. Videocardz emphasizes that this is a bit surprising, as the power output that is rumored to be specified for RTX 3080 Ti is 350 watts – identical to RTX 3090. However, this is only 30 watts north of the value for the Ti-free sibling, as in SweClocker’s tests without problems can keep temperatures in check.

In any case, the new images dispel speculation that the Founders Edition version will not be available for the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti, which arose in connection with Nvidia declaring that the crypto-limitation “LHR” only takes place in third-party cards. The future may indicate whether the Founders Edition cards will be sold in Europe at all, but regardless of the manufacturer, they will quickly leave the retailers’ shelves.
