The last few weeks have been lined with lots of pictures and information about Nvidia’s upcoming graphics card Geforce GTX 1070 Ti, which according to many will be the company’s answer to the competitor AMD’s new model Radeon RX Vega 56. Now they lift the blade from their mouths and present the newcomer officially – complete with specifications and pricing.

Geforce GTX 1070 Ti is based like its siblings Geforce GTX 1080 and Geforce GTX 1070 around the graphics circuit GP104 and the architecture Pascal. In terms of specifications, the model squeezes into the middle of the two previously mentioned cards, where the number of CUDA cores amounts to 2,432, while texture and grid units land at 152 and 64, respectively, for the newcomer.
Furthermore, the graphics processor has a base frequency of 1,607 MHz while the nominal turbo frequency lands at 1,683 MHz, where the latter is at the same level as the Geforce GTX 1070. The graphics memory is lifted from little brother and consists of 8 GB GDDR5 running at 8,000 MHz over a 256-bit memory bus.
Like previous cards in the Geforce GTX 1000 series, Nvidia is releasing a self-cast version of the model according to the company’s “Founders Edition” concept. This uses the same circuit board and steam chamber cooler as the more expensive Geforce GTX 1080 and will be available for order via Nvidia’s website.
In addition to Nvidia’s reference variant, a number of partner manufacturers will also have their own cards ready for the start of sales, including their own circuit board and cooling solutions. The common denominator for all of these is that they are delivered in a basic version regarding clock frequencies, and it is instead up to the user himself to overclock the card.
Geforce GTX 1070 Ti is available for advance booking today, with a planned sales start on November 2 – which is also the date for reviews of the card. Nvidia’s “Founders Edition” has a recommended price of SEK 4,799 including VAT.
