Palit releases fanless Geforce GTX 1650

One of the areas where graphics cards may profess color is how effectively the radiator manages to keep temperatures in check, without generating unreasonable sound levels. For those who want to build a compact and quiet computer, the Palits Kalmx series is an alternative, which now has an addition in the form of the Geforce GTX 1650 Kalmx.

A common feature of the Kalmx series is that all graphics cards apply passive cooling, which also applies here. The radiator plate covers both the graphics circuit and the VRM part and the heat is removed via two heat conduction pipes, which together is enough to passively cool the circuit’s TDP of 75 W.

In terms of the graphics circuit itself, this follows Nvidia’s reference specification. This means the Turing architecture and 896 CUDA cores with a base frequency of 1,485 MHz and boostfrequency of 1,665 MHz. This is accompanied by 4 GB of GDDR5 memory over a 128-bit memory bus.

The Palit Geforce GTX 1650 Kalmx is 178 millimeters long, ie just above a Mini ITX motherboard (170 mm). In terms of connections, the card is equipped with an HDMI 2.0b and two Displayport 1.4a. As the card’s power budget is within a TDP of 75 W, it can be operated entirely from the motherboard’s PCI Express 3.0 slot.

At the time of writing, the product page for the Palit Geforce GTX 1650 Kalmx does not mention any price. The company’s existing range of Geforce GTX 1650 products ranges in price from SEK 1,600–2,200.
