Brave rewards can be used for TAP gift cards

The Brave browser has announced a partnership with TAP Network, which will allow users to use BAT “for real rewards” offered by 250,000 brands that are part of the network.

The announcement states that US Brave users will be able to use BAT to purchase gift cards from hundreds of top national brands. These include Uber, Starbucks, Xbox, Playstation, Hulu, HBO, Amazon, Apple, Target and Walmart.

Brave’s chief of communications, Catherine Corre, clarified:

“The benefits are targeted especially at US users because the network of providers is stronger in this area. It’s about availability, not restrictions for users in other regions. It is simply less options for gift cards for them. ”

Paradigm Labs closes after the start of the DeFi ecosystem

Paradigm Labs decided to close its business after concluding that the interest in decentralized finance (DeFi) came too late in the life cycle of the company.

The company has tried to develop liquidity solutions for the DeFi ecosystem. It had a promising start in 2018. They have been trying to develop an order book that could be divided between different trading platforms. Unfortunately, they missed the start, because the concept was overtaken by technologies such as Uniswap and P2P 0x Mesh market infrastructure.

In a blog post, Paradigm Labs founder and CEO Liam Kovatch said:

“Our team came to the decision that, in the current context and with limited resources to pursue emerging opportunities, it is unlikely that we will achieve the success we wanted for Paradigm Labs.”

Call of Duty battle royale with its own digital currency

Activision has released a free-to-play battle royale version of the popular Call of Duty (CoD) game. Like many free-to-play games, it will have its own virtual currency for purchasing upgrades and will generally generate revenue for the developer.

However, CoD: Warzone takes virtual currency integration to an advanced level. Performing missions and tasks in the game allows you to win virtual currencies. They are stored in so-called “Buy stations” and can be used to purchase upgrades or to revive teammates.

Virtual money is a way to earn income, so most free games have started to implement a form of virtual currency. They can be won in the game or purchased.

The popularity of free-to-play games like Fortnite and Apex Legends on streaming channels has prompted older players like Activision to release free-to-play versions that include virtual currencies.

YouTube continues censorship of crypto channels

YouTube has deleted videos and temporarily banned the accounts of two other cryptocurrency enthusiasts for violating company policy.

Earlier this week, “Ivan on Tech” and “The Moon” announced on Twitter that they were censored again. YouTube has sent sanction notification to both accounts, which restricts the ability of content creators to upload videos for a specified period.

The Moon was sanctioned for a video entitled: “Warning !!! The financial crisis began! Is Bitcoin a safe haven in this bloodbath or not? ”. Apparently, the clip violated the conditions set out in the “policy of selling regulated goods and services”. The policy makes no mention of digital assets and lists prohibited items for sale or promotion on the platform.

Ivan on Tech is already on the second suspension of the channel and has decided to give up the Youtube platform. He decided to make the broadcasts from his own website.

The arbitrary censorship on YouTube of cryptocurrency channels has led to a mass exodus of content creators to other platforms. These include Bitchute, D-Live and Vimeo, as well as Federte Peertube’s independent video platform.
