Petrol prices rise at Moscow gas stations

MOSCOW, September 5 – PRIME. The average prices at Moscow gas stations for the week from August 29 to September 5 for AI-100 gasoline increased by 34 kopecks, to 62.19 rubles, while diesel fuel fell in price by 2 kopecks, to 54.33 rubles, follows from the data of the Moscow Fuel Association ( MTA).

Prices for gasoline AI-92 and AI-95 remained the same on average – 47.87 and 53.10 rubles, respectively.

The increase in the price of AI-100 gasoline is due to the increase in prices at Tatneft gas stations by 5 kopecks and changes in the calculations for ESA gas stations. At the same time, the decrease in the cost of diesel fuel is provided by the price dynamics at ESA.

Gasoline prices at Moscow gas stations began to rise noticeably in 2020, while diesel fuel prices have risen since mid-January 2021. This happened after the rapid growth of wholesale prices on the stock exchange. Last summer, the rate of growth in fuel prices accelerated so much that measures to contain them were discussed, up to a ban on exports and an agreement with oil companies, but they were not taken. The cost of fuel in Moscow has stabilized and even began to decline slightly in early March.
