Phanteks makes water blocks for Geforce GTX 1080

Since the launch of its first chassis, Phanteks has had a strong focus on water cooling, where radiator seats and pump mounts have been a recurring phenomenon in most of the chassis range. Under Computex, the company announces that in the future they want to offer a complete solution when it comes to water cooling, and begins with the launch of a series of self-developed water blocks.

First out is a water block adapted to Nvidia’s graphics card Geforce GTX 1080 Founder’s Edition. The block is of the full-coverage type, and is made of nickel-plated copper with a transparent acrylic section on the top. The company also equips the block with RGB lighting that can be connected to the company’s chassis and controlled together with other lighting.

In addition, Phanteks works on water blocks for processors, both with a closed top and a transparent acrylic variant. On top of this, work is being done on a myriad of different couplings, where the company is pushing hard for them to use viton gaskets with better durability than traditional silicone ditons.

Phantek’s water block for Geforce GTX 1080 will be released at the end of June with a recommended price of 129 EUR. The rest of the water cooling products are expected to be rolled out during the end of the summer and then followed up by both radiators, reservoirs and hoses.
