Back at Noctua today with a little presentation of the brand’s latest accessories, the Chromax! These accessories are divided into 2 models, either anti-vibration pads to be installed directly on the corners of the fans, or anti-vibration pads which will be responsible for fixing the fans to the case. You will tell me that these accessories are already present when buying Noctua fans, but this time it’s about breaking the monotony of the latter. Indeed Noctua has long been attached to its colors which are not really unanimous in the crowd but are at the very least characteristic of the brand, with the Chromax Noctua decides to give a little bit of eccentricity by offering colored products. different, and flashy to say the least, let’s see it all.

The accessories are delivered in small boxes in the colors of the brand, in addition to the logo, the type of accessory and the name of the model there is of course also the color.

Inside you fall directly on the rubber pads, which even rest on a small square of foam. The rubber pads (the photo on the right) are 8 in number (to equip 2 fans) while the rubber clips are 20 (for 5 fans).

As we can see the color is in the spotlight here! White, yellow, red, green, blue and black. The pads are identical to those already found on the brand’s fans. Please note, however, that they are only compatible with the NF-F12, NF-S12A and NF-A14 series, the others not having exactly the same corners.

Here is the beast of today’s test, a Noctua Industrial PPC 3000, with its original pads in the color so characteristic of the brand.

Here is what it gives with a complete blue set installed in the 4 corners, those for whom all the colors of a configuration must match will be in heaven. Here is what it looks like with each color:

As you can see there is something for everyone! The build quality is as usual at the top and there is no risk of tearing the rubber during the installation, as happens on low-end products.

The colors of the anti-vibration mounts are identical to those of the pads that we have just seen, there is something for everyone! However, they are not identical to what we find delivered with the brand’s fans. Here it will be possible to install them on a very large majority of fans on the market, as long as they do not have solid corners.

For easier installation the longer part goes through the entire thickness of the fan to be pulled out to the other side.

Like the colored pads, the customization of the fans can be interesting here, if you like of course 😉

Here we are at the end of this presentation, what about Noctua Chromax?
Noctua wanted for a long time to keep its 2 characteristic colors, which were not to everyone’s taste, however, the brand took its first step in the world of modding with Chromax. This is only to customize a fan of the brand but with 6 colors available it will be possible for many modders to find their happiness, while helping to reduce vibrations and therefore the sound level (even if a fan is not clearly not the component that vibrates the most in a PC).
Offered at a price of 6.90 € the Noctua Chromax can be a little extra for modders, being able to fully customize 2 fans for the pads (NA-SAVP1) and 5 for the rubber mounts (NA-SAV2), even if this remains a bit expensive for this type of product, but the quality is there.
