Pushkov explained why the US idea of ​​an oil price ceiling is unlikely to be supported

According to him, China’s participation in such a scheme, together with its main adversary, to the detriment of Russia, looks incredible. “Why would Beijing strengthen the US and the G7, who only say that they will oppose China and are preparing for a conflict with it?” the senator noted.

He added that India is also an unlikely candidate for participation in such a coalition, both for political reasons – good relations with Moscow, and for economic reasons – the need for Russian oil.

“After all, Russia has already warned that it will not supply oil to countries that will support the introduction of such a ceiling. It is unlikely that Washington does not understand this. They just pretend that they do not understand,” Pushkov concluded.
