Radeon R9 Nano in full specifications

The Fiji graphics processor is back on the agenda, but now it’s not about squeezing the performance throne or letting the partner manufacturers have a moment in the spotlight. On August 27, the graphics card Radeon R9 Nano will be launched, which will open up for really compact and at the same time high-performance gaming systems.

With less than a day left until the launch, the complete specifications are now leaking online. As expected, the Radeon R9 Nano includes the full version of Fiji with 4,096 computing devices and 4 GB of HBM memory on 4,096-bit memory bus.

Despite the reduced TDP value of a modest 175 W, the clock frequencies are kept at high levels. Both the memory and the graphics processor must be able to stretch the legs and go up to 1,000 MHz, where the clock frequencies are regulated in the usual order according to power consumption and heat generation.

In practice, the Radeon R9 Nano is thus an air-cooled version of the worsting model Fury X, also in the smaller format 15.5 centimeters. With good cooling and a little overclocking, there are all the prerequisites for squeezing out at least as high a performance, especially for those who are prepared to increase the power output.

The Radeon R9 Nano will be “soft-launched” on August 27, but for some reason the media embargo for independent performance testing will not be lifted until September 10. Price and delivery date are still unknown.
