The Phoenix range, as revealed by AMD a few days ago, is expected in 2023 and will especially address the ultrabook, that is, laptops that are much thinner and lighter than traditional laptops aimed at gaming. Nonetheless, it appears that AMD is preparing to push the graphics performance bar higher thanks to an integrated GPU based on the new architecture RDNA 3.

For Phoenix APUs, AMD provides for operation within a power range between 35 and 45 W, values ​​valid for the entire chip and not just for the graphics. Greymon55, however, claims that the integrated GPU would be able to compete with the GeForce RTX 3060Ma dedicated GPU from 60W and that through Dynamic Boost gets an additional 20W.

In short, AMD would have planned a marked improvement in the performance of integrated graphics, even if at the moment it is impossible to understand how much truth there is in the statements of Greymon55.
