MOSCOW, Sep 2 — PRIME. Russia is counting on bringing the results of the IAEA mission to the attention of the world community, said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
IAEA Director General said he talked with residents of Energodar
“We expect that the objective results of the IAEA mission’s activities will be communicated to the world community,” the minister said at a conference call at the military department.
Shoigu noted that the countries of the “collective West” deliberately hush up the situation around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, thereby encouraging reckless actions of Ukraine.
The head of the Russian military department added that Kyiv, inflicting strikes on the station, creates a real threat of a nuclear catastrophe in Europe. The provocations of the Ukrainian side continue, despite the arrival of IAEA specialists, he stressed.
Shoigu said that Russia, in turn, will do everything to ensure the safe operation of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
