Earlier on Sunday, information appeared in Telegram channels that the data of about 44 million users of the Start online cinema, including test recordings, had been made publicly available. It is noted that the data includes the names and surnames of users, e-mail addresses, as well as IP addresses.
“We have already fixed the vulnerability, and access to our data is closed … The database is not of great interest to attackers, the most significant thing there is an email or phone number from which the user could connect. The database does not contain clear passwords, browsing history and the main thing is that there is no and cannot be bank card data and other financial information,” the message says.
It is clarified that the information in the database is not “fully up-to-date”, the data leaked to the network refers to 2021. In addition, the service team recommended that users change their passwords regularly, including “inventing unique ones for each service.”
