Tagomi to join Facebook cryptocurrency project

Tagomi, a New York crypto-broker supported by Paradigm, is the last company to join the association Libra.

according to TechCrunch, Tagomi should very soon (Friday or next week) officially announce their adhesion to the project of cryptocurrency from the social media giant.

This announcement follows the arrival of Shopify last week, and from several members like PayPal, MasterCard or more recently Vodaphone.

Founded in 2017 in New York and supported by the venture capital companies Digital Currency Group and Paradigm, Tagomi offers advice for institutional investors as well as a trading platform for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

To join Libra, the firm will have to offload $ 10 million, the sum corresponding to the entry fees to manage a node on the future network blockchain from the Association.

The Swiss foundation will now count 22 members (against 28 at the start), including Calibra, Uber, Illiad, Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz and Spotify, to name only the most important.

Although the group has not yet convinced regulators and the political class, it nevertheless hopes to launch its digital play by the end of the year.
