It had been a while since there had been a case test from Antec at Conseil Config, the brand is back with its latest product, the P9 Window! On the program a mid-tower case compatible with ATX motherboards (and micro ATX, mini ITX of course), equipped with 3 original fans, rheobus and everything that goes well in a modern case. Offered at a price of around 100 € it will have a lot to do in a saturated market, let’s see what it has in its belly.

The P9 Window from Antec is therefore an ATX format case, compatible of course with micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboards if the need arises, it is made of steel and plastic like all boxes from the market. The dimensions are rather classic with 51.5 cm in height for 52.8 cm in length and 21 cm in width, it is quite imposing but nothing excessive! With a weight of 9.1 kg it is also average, neither too heavy nor not enough, we are far from what the brand did ten years ago.
Compatibility level, the graphics card can reach a maximum of 43 cm in length with the hard drive cage removed, no information is communicated on the height available for the heatsink that said, which is rather a shame but we will see later. it is capable of accommodating one of the highest model on the market, the NH-D15!
The storage is quite large here, 8 dedicated 3.5 ″ slot (2.5 ″ compatible) as well as another installable in a 5.25 ″ slot, 2 2.5 ″ slots are also available behind the motherboard for possible SSDs and 3 5.25 ″ slots will allow the installation of recorders and other card readers. Suffice to say that the P9 is quite complete here and it will be easy to make a rather beefy file server.
On the cooling side it is also very provided here, 2 slots for 12 cm fans at the front, 1 12 cm slot at the back, 3 12/14 cm slots above, 1 12 cm slot at the bottom (next to the power supply) as well as two 12 cm slots behind the hard drive cages. Fans of extreme cooling will be in heaven. Among all these locations 3 12 cm fans are delivered, 2 at the front and 1 at the rear, a classic but which should already be more than enough for a very large majority of users.
The front connector is also well supplied, 2 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0 as well as the eternal 3.5 mm microphone and headphones. Around these are also 2 rheobus, which will be very practical to control the different fans of the tower.
Offered at a price of around 100 € the Antec P9 Window box allows on paper to install a very busy configuration, which might interest some, let’s see what it gives!

The cardboard could not be more sober, on the front there is a photo of the case accompanied by the logo of the brand and the model, the absence of pompous marketing does not hurt. At the back, an exploded view of the case as well as a listing of all the elements. In the box as usual, the box is in a plastic bag sandwiched between 2 polystyrene molds, so transport should not be a problem.

The bundle is quite complete, in addition to the eternal quick installation and warranty sheets there are 2 scratchs and metal scraps for the wiring, rails for the installation of a water cooling pump, 1 8-pin processor extension as well a buzzer for the motherboard and of course the necessary screws. To summarize there is really no problem to be done during the assembly, everything is there, the 8-pin extension is a significant plus.
